Last reps before the Bay
Thursday, 1 October 2026 · Adobe Kava, 1302 13th Ave W, Bradenton
“Last practice before Tampa. Heads down, good questions, and two new players at the top table. We're ready.”
Harold Gonzalez · Club director
First night of the month, and the Thursday room at Adobe Kava treated it like the last practice before a final. Because it was. Saturday is the Battle for the Bay: Tampa Knights against Kava Social, in their house. 🔥
We opened with the Woodpecker: tactics against the clock, solved, scored, and solved again until the patterns stop needing thought. Then the books went down and we sparred the night away, position after position, trading sides and trading ideas. ⏱️♟️
The whole night ran on focus and questions. Why not this move? What changes if the knight is on the other square? Those are the questions that turn into half points when the clock is running for real. 🧠
Two new faces stepped up to the higher-level table, Toska and Anton, and neither looked out of place. Welcome to Thursdays. 👏
Now it's your turn. Bradenton travels to Tampa on Saturday at 7PM, one open section, club against club, and there is no rematch until someone earns it. Who takes it? Make your prediction below. ⚔️
