One-on-one coaching, at the level you're at
Club nights are free coaching and always will be. Lessons are for people who want structured work between nights — over the board in Bradenton and Sarasota, or online anywhere, in English or Spanish.
For new and casual players. How the pieces move, the rules that trip people up, basic tactics, opening principles, simple endgames. Practice games with feedback.
For rated and aspiring tournament players. Game review, classical training games, an opening repertoire that suits you, a study plan, and the psychology of time pressure.
How it works
Over the board in Bradenton and Sarasota, or online with a shared board and video.
Through Chess67, by the hour. Book a single session or ask about a regular slot.
All ages. Club nights are 21+ because of the venue; lessons are not.
English or Spanish, whichever you think in.

Harold Gonzalez
Club director since 2021. 2nd U1600 at the 2026 World Open and 1st U1400 at the Southern Class. A math teacher and Data Science MSc student, which is the teaching part: lessons are built around how you actually think, not a fixed syllabus. He also runs the club's Tuesday study night, Socratic style — he asks, you work it out.
Lessons are booked through Chess67. Questions first? Text or call.
